My long lost first love

During my trip back to my parents in November 09, I rediscovered my faithful first love. It is at least 16 years old, which my mom bought for me to replace manual labour. When I baked my first cake which was a Marble Cake, recipe courtesy of Reena's mom, we beat margarine and sugar using rice scoop and a huge metal basin!

Then I had my first cake mixer, which is a National. Unsurprisingly, it still works perfectly fine today. In fact, I hated to admit this to Sig.Ot, but the National is more user friendly than my giant Kenwood. To top it off, I suspect that the cake quality is also better with the National!!! Maybe the secret lies with the double beaters and the smaller sized bowl also allows all the ingredients to be mixed in better.
